I certify that I have read, understood and accept the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Two winners, one in EACH CATEGORY, will be selected.
2. Winners will be selected based on the quality of the song(s) submitted.
3. A maximum of TWO SONGS per category will be reviewed.
4. Songs should be submitted on CD, along with a TYPED LYRIC SHEET for each song. Song material CANNOT be retuned.
5. Winners will be selected by a panel of music industry professionals who will make the FINAL decision.
6. All song entries, along with payment, must be POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 15th, 2008.
7. Winners will be selected and notified by March 1st, 2008.
8. The winner in each category will receive free Registration in the 2008 Santa Barbara EXPO (a $299 value), February 28th - March 1st, 2008.
9. The winner in the Country Category will write a song at the EXPO with the hit songwriting team of Sam and Annie Tate whose hits include, "Shut Up and Drive" for Chely Wright, "Somebody" for Reba, and "If You're Going Through Hell" for Rodney Atkins. Emerson Drive's "Moments" just became their third #1 song. (Last year the winner in this category wrote with Jeremy Stover, writer and producer of Jack Ingram's #1 "Where Ever You Are".)
The winner in the Pop/Rock Category will write a song with hit songwriter and industry powerhouse Keith Follese. Keith grew up in the music rich scene of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and has spent most of his music career dividing time between Los Angeles and Nashville. Keith's relentless drive and songwriting talent has rewarded him with many top songwriting honors. Keith has been named both ASCAP and BILLBOARD magazine's SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR. Keith is currently the CEO of Midas Music and is the lead writer for the production team THE CENTER. He continues to write with top producers and artists all over the world. Keith's hits include Faith Hill's smash, "The Way You love Me" and Lonestar's "Smile." (Last year the winner in this category wrote with Ben Marguiles and Tony Scalzo of FastBall).
10. Each winner will also receive a SINGLE SONG PUBLISHING DEAL! The Pop/Rock category winner will have the opportunity to publish with LA-based Leftwinger/peer music. The Country winner will have the opportunity to publish with Nashville-based Midas Music. (Last year these publishers were Windswept Music - Country Category - and peermusic - Pop/Rock Category.) The publishing deal includes studio time to record a professional guitar or piano/vocal demo of the song written by the winner in each category!
11. Transportation to the EXPO, meals and lodging, are the responsibility of the participants.
